CHEFS FOR EQUALITY: One of the biggest food events in the city, Chefs For Equality, is back for its 10th year. This year’s theme, “Plate of Emergency,” is meant to call attention to the intensified attacks on the LGBTQ+ community. The event will feature over 150 local chefs, bakers, and mixologists, and all proceeds will benefit the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s nationwide educational work for LGBTQ+ equality. HALLOWEEN COMEDY SHOW: Halloween doesn’t have to be all about being scared. Stage Fright is putting on a comedy show to celebrate the night of fright. Come in costume for candy, and an all-night happy hour. (Sudhouse DC; 9:45 p.m.; FREE)
NIGHT OF THE FLICK FINALE: Comet Ping Pong’s Monday night spooky series comes to an end this week with the aptly named “Night of the Comet.” After the screening, there will be a Halloween cover show (Comet Ping Pong; 6 p.m.; FREE)
