Two of Germany’s industry-specific hourly minimum wages increased Jan. 1, according to ordinances from the country’s labor ministry published in December.
The wages for roofers increased to 13 euros (U.S. $14.71) for unskilled workers and to 14.50 euros for skilled workers, and are to further increase to 13.30 euros and 14.80 euros, respectively, Jan. 1, 2023, according to the ordinance (German) from the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
