Munger, Tolles & Olson is pleased to announce that 33 lawyers were recognized in the 2026 edition of The Best Lawyers in America across practice areas. The legal directory features an extensive peer-review process and includes the traditional Best Lawyers rankings, the “Lawyer of the Year” rankings and the Best Lawyers: “Ones to Watch” list.
Don Verrilli received a “Lawyer of the Year” ranking in the Appellate category. Only a single lawyer in each specialty practice area in each metropolitan area is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year” based on voting averages received during the peer-review assessments.
A total of 22 MTO lawyers were recognized in the traditional Best Lawyers guide and 11 lawyers were named to the Best Lawyers: “Ones to Watch” list.
Overall, this year’s edition recognizes more than 81,000 lawyers from over 200 geographic regions and spans 151 practice areas. The Best Lawyers: “Ones to Watch” list includes more than 27,000 lawyers across 79 practice areas in this year’s edition and highlights the top legal talent for lawyers with less than ten years of experience in private practice.
