What comes to mind when we look at the 38-year-old Lewis Hamilton? A poised, positive man who has claimed all records in the record book. While all of that holds, a glimpse of his wild past may shock you. The man who recently shared a drink with the Obamas in Australia faced an instance of a rescue operation-like situation with his father, Anthony Hamilton, coming to save him.
It hasn’t been an easy ride for the Hamiltons. The father had to work three jobs to keep his son’s racing dreams alive. In a bid to help, Lewis followed in his father’s footsteps, taking up a bartending job at 17. While the man diligently did his $4 job not straying away from the focus, he decided to go all the way on his last day. And the wild adventure on which Hamilton embarked turned out to be a crazy one. While being interviewed by Mark Howard of Fox Sports Australia, Lewis Hamilton denied going to pubs, but let the world in on his bartending adventures.

The seven-time champion said, “No, I’m not really into pubs, so I’ve never been into pubs. I worked at one when I was like 17 or something like that.” When the interviewer asked him what he was doing there, Hamilton replied, “I was bartending.”
