3 Houston employees at a pediatric dental clinic accused of filing ... - Houston Chronicle

Three employees at a west Houston pediatric dental clinic have been indicted by a federal grand jury for submitting fraudulent Medicaid claims for cavity fillings and other services that weren't provided. Federal investigators say the trio billed nearly $7 million in fake claims over three years through the scheme, according to a Justice Department news release.

Christian Agno Aquino, 42, of Humble, and Rene Gaviola, 67, and Ifeanyi Ndubisi Ozoh, 51, of Houston, face charges of conspiracy to pay and receive health care kickbacks, according to the release. Ozoh and Gaviola, who were managers at Floss Family Dental Care, were arrested in August 2022, and Aquino, who was an operator, was taken into custody on Wednesday.
