- Major law schools were represented on the amicus brief, including Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School, Yale Law School.
- It's at least the third amicus brief filed in support of Perkins Coie.
- An amicus brief signed by other law firms is still circulating within the legal industry and could be filed later this week.
More than 360 law professors at universities across the country, including Columbia Law School, Cornell Law School, Stanford Law School and University of Michigan Law School, have signed on to an amicus brief in support of Perkins Coie’s challenge to President Donald Trump’s executive order targeting the firm.
The amicus brief is at least the third one filed in support of Perkins Coie. One was filed by 11 legal advocacy organizations, including the ACLU, and a second from past presidents of the D.C. Bar. However, noticeably, an amicus brief signed by other law firms that has been circulating in the legal industry was not submitted, but could be filed later this week.
