51st Annual Public Employment Labor Relations Forum returns to Orlando October 16–17 - The Florida Bar

The Florida Bar’s City, County, and Local Government Law Section and Labor and Employment Law Section will host the 51st Annual Public Employment Labor Relations Forum on October 16–17 at the Marriott Orlando World Center.

This program is the premier statewide event for attorneys and professionals who practice in public sector labor and employment law.

“Public sector labor and employment law is evolving rapidly,” said Janeia Ingram, a program co-chair, and deputy general counsel/hearing officer for the Public Employees Relations Commission in Tallahassee. “At the annual forum, you’ll connect with colleagues from across Florida while gaining valuable insights into the latest developments that are shaping this unique practice area.”

The 51st Annual PELRF promises timely legal updates, meaningful networking, and a celebration of excellence in the profession. The two-day, in-person-only forum will feature updates on the most pressing issues shaping the field, including PERC developments, overtime and compensatory time in the public sector, Florida’s Sunshine Law, ethics, public pensions, collective bargaining, employment disputes, Eleventh Circuit and EEOC/FCHR updates, and more. Attendees will have opportunities to network during the all-members’ reception and breakfast and lunch on the second day of programming.
