In response to Alex Borg’s reply, the Labour Party described his speech as political grandstanding filled with false statements. It insisted that the Leader of the Opposition had no idea how to run the country.
In a two-hour speech, the Labour Party continued in its statement, the Leader of the Opposition did not even mention energy subsidies.
“No matter how hard you try, you will find nothing,” the Labour Party said. “No substance and no proposals. All you will find is political grandstanding filled with false statements, which were in fact exposed by the Labour Party earlier today following major leaks from within the Opposition’s structures.”
It is worth noting that Alex Borg said that, if the Nationalist Party were in government, it would also introduce the 1,000 Super Bonus. This bonus will be given to workers who have worked in Malta for at least five years.
They insisted that while Alex Borg makes many promises, a comparison with Robert Abela shows that the latter ensures these promises are delivered.
