Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, long cautious in addressing corruption allegations against Attorney General Ken Paxton by his former aides, made a strong statement this week in support of the embattled top lawyer.
The two Republicans filed briefs Monday urging the Texas Supreme Court to take up Paxton's challenge to an appellate court ruling that found the fired former employees who have accused him of retaliation can sue under the state's whistleblower law.
