A childcare worker accused of sexually abusing 91 young girls was reported in 2021 by a newly hired colleague who allegedly saw him 'kissing' a sleeping child, a whistleblower has revealed.
The 45-year-old man has been charged with more than 1,600 offences allegedly committed between 2007 and 2022 at multiple centres in Queensland and NSW and one centre overseas.
Yolanda Borucki, a manager of a chain of daycare centres where the man worked in senior roles for three years, told A Current Affair she raised concerns with Queensland Police a year before his arrest last August.
Ms Borucki explained the accused man often would take some of the children to an outside playground area while the others napped.
'He apparently was organising - I didn't witness this, I was only told - some activities for them to learn and he would put a blanket over this area,' Ms Borucki said.

'They [had] been placing a few mats under for when the children had been climbing and when they decided they want to have a little nap they will be able to lie down under the fort,' she said.
