AECOM defeated a whistleblower’s False Claims Act suit alleging improper labor billing under a US Army vehicle support contract performed in Afghanistan, a New York federal district court said.
Hassan Foreman failed to show that the company’s inadequate contract performance was material to government payment decisions, which is a requirement for FCA liability, Judge Louis L. Stanton of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said in a Wednesday opinion granting the contractor summary judgment.
