We know you’re still reeling over the news that Grimes and Elon Musk secretly welcomed a daughter and then broke up (again), but get ready for the next whiplash-inducing twist in Grimes’ chaotic existence. According to Page Six, the singer is dating Chelsea Manning, a whistleblower, and the two have already moved in together.
“They’re taking things seriously now. They made a U-Haul out of it “The fast-paced affair between Grimes and Chelsea was revealed by a source to Page Six. “They’ve been sharing an apartment in Austin.”
Diehard Grimes fans are unlikely to be surprised by rumors of her and Chelsea’s burgeoning romance, as the two have reportedly been exchanging Grade A Twitter banter for quite some time, as evidenced by this conversation from December:
Chelsea Manning is an activist, whistleblower, and former United States Army soldier who was sentenced to 35 years in jail in 2013 for leaking thousands of confidential documents to Wikileaks in 2010. In 2017, the majority of her sentence was mitigated (although she spent most of the year between March 2019 and March 2020 in jail again for refusing to testify to two different grand juries investigating WikiLeaks).
Aside from the U-Hauling and Twitter teasing, the Page Six insider also revealed that Chelsea will remain in her Brooklyn residence (at least for the time being). When the publication inquired for comment, representatives from all sides of the situation remained mute.
