Agencies Lose Testimonial Subpoena Fight Before Coming FCA Trial - Bloomberg Law

The Social Security Administration, and a federal agency that tracks toxic substance-caused diseases, lost their respective bids to quash defense subpoenas for testimony in a False Claims Act suit set for trial next month.

Whistleblower BNSF Railway alleges that the nonprofit Center for Asbestos Related Disease submitted false statements to the government about the eligibility of patients in Montana to receive treatments for asbestos-related medical conditions. Trial is scheduled to begin June 12.
