Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping the modern workplace. Organisations are increasingly integrating AI-powered systems to drive efficiency, enhance decision-making and automate processes. According to our recent Laws of AI Traction report, 75% of organisations say that workforce productivity has improved since their organisation adopted AI tools. 65% of organisations predict that, by 2038, AI will generate more revenue than human employees.

However, this technological revolution brings with it a host of legal and practical considerations, particularly in the realm of employment law. In our recent webinar, we delved into the benefits and challenges of deploying AI in the workplace and offered some strategies for doing so responsibly.

What is AI in the workplace?

AI refers to computer systems capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning and problem-solving. The most common form of AI we are seeing in the employment sector, and the form of AI we are likely all most familiar with, is generative AI. Generative AI refers to algorithms that create new content, including text, images, audio, code, simulations and videos based on patterns learned from training data.
