Aid distribution group refutes false CNN claim that IDF killed 31 Gaza civilians - World Israel News

Using footage from aid distribution sites as evidence, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) challenged claims by the BBC and CNN that the IDF fired on Gazan civilians on Sunday.

The media networks picked up the story from Palestinian sources who claimed that the IDF opened fire on civilians in the Tel al-Sultan area of Rafah, resulting in at least 31 deaths and many injuries.

However, the GHF released video footage from an aid distribution site at the time the attack was supposed to have occurred and refuted the false reporting.

The footage showed aid distribution carried out without any disruption.

The IDF released a statement: “The IDF is currently unaware of injuries caused by IDF fire within the Humanitarian Aid distribution site. The matter is still under review.”

The GHF also released a statement in response to the allegations: “All aid was distributed today without incident: no injuries or fatalities. We have heard that Hamas has actively fomented these fake reports. They are untrue and fabricated.”

The GHF, backed by the United States in cooperation with Israel’s military, said that it had distributed 4.6 million meals in six days.
