All-Clad to pay consumers $4 million to settle false advertising ... - NewsBreak Original

American consumers who have purchased any products from the All-Clad Cookware brand may be eligible to file against the company. All-Clad is sold by retailers such as Amazon, Williams-Sonoma, and Crate & Barrel. It is a popular brand of kitchenware and accessories, including pots, pans, knives, and even electronics. All-Clad promotes its products as dishwasher safe. However, a class action lawsuit against the company alleges that these products are not dishwasher safe. (source)

The suit explains in detail that when consumers put their cookware in the dishwasher it gets damaged. This results in the pan's non-stick surface peeling away from the base and leaving sharp edges. Plaintiffs in the suit feel that All-Clad should not have promoted their products as dishwasher safe as they knew or should have known about this defect. (source)

Despite All-Clad admitting to not doing anything wrong, they have decided to settle out of court. They have agreed to pay $4 million to settle. The settlement terms dictate that members of the lawsuit may get replacements, partial refunds and/or purchase credits. The deadline to file a claim is March 27, 2023.
