'Amazing': Twin Peaks Servers Reveal How Much They Earn in Tips - Newsweek

Two Twin Peaks waitresses have given a frank look into their income, showing just how much they earn per shift in a viral video.

Florida servers and couple Faith Colyer and Erika Rodrigues took to TikTok to show how much they each earned in tips over a shift on a Saturday night. Both work at a Twin Peaks location in Florida. Twin Peaks, like Hooters, is a sports bar chain across the U.S. that employs female servers.

The pair started their shift at 4:30 and picked an outside area to work, as a two-table section along with one "man cave."

"We might make money, we might not," they predicted.

They provided their first update just two hours into their shift, when each had earned $32 in card tips and $20 in cash. "We're stressed," they said.

At 10:18 p.m. they gave a second update. Colyer had $275 in card tips while Rodrigues made $138 in card tips.

By the end of the shift at 1:45 a.m Colyer had earned $423 in total tips and Rodrigues earned $275, citing a table walk out and "a lot of mishaps" for her lower figure.

According to Colyer in a comment, they do still have to "subtract our tip share with the hostesses and bussers" but didn't specify exactly how much they share out.

With over 1.5 million viewers of the video, the couple gave a behind-the–scenes look at server finances to many who had little prior knowledge of serving in restaurants like Twin Peaks and Hooters.

"I make 400 as a cashier every WEEK after working 35 hours," noted one user.

"275 is amazing," added another.
