American Airlines Inc. is facing a proposed wage and hour class action by flight attendants based in New York.
Lead plaintiff Brandon Himes alleges the airline failed to pay his wages within seven days of the end of each workweek, as required by New York Labor Law for manual workers, according to the complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District if New York.
Even if he isn’t a manual worker, he would have been entitled to—but wasn’t—paid for all hours worked on a semi-monthly basis, the complaint alleges.
