What Happened at Wesgroup?

Wesgroup Properties LP (Wesgroup) has eliminated approximately 12% of its workforce.

“Let me be clear — this was an absolute last resort,” Beau Jarvis, CEO of the Vancouver-based real estate company, said in a post on LinkedIn.

“This was all in hopes of preserving as many jobs as possible. But despite these efforts, the economic realities left us no choice.”

The bombshell update comes just weeks after Rennie Group slashed around a quarter of its staff as British Columbia’s real estate market continues to cool.
