Anupam Kher responds to false claims made in the TKSS-The Kashmir Files dispute - Filmfare

Anupam Kher has said that he was approached to appear on The Kapil Sharma Show but declined because his film, The Kashmir Files, deals with a serious subject. After the film's director, Vivek Agnihotri, alleged that the team from The Kashmir Files was not invited to the comedian's show, Kapil Sharma became engaged in controversy. However, Anupam and Vivek both stated in an interview that Kapil had no ill feelings toward the film or them. In a tweet, Kapil thanked Anupam for the clarification.

Kapil tweeted, “Thank you paji @AnupamPKher for clarifying all the false allegations against me. Aur un sab dosto ka bhi shukriya jinhone bina sach jaane mujhe itni mohabbat di. Khush rahiye, muskurate rahiye (And thanks to those who were on my side even without knowing the whole truth. Keep smiling.)”

The feud began after Vivek alleged last week that Kapil had refused to invite him to promote his film The Kashmir Files on his show, The Kapil Sharma Show. "They declined to call on their show because we don't have a huge commercial star," Vivek remarked when a fan expressed interest in seeing the film's team on the show. Following Vivek's comment, a number of Twitter users demanded that Kapil and his show be boycotted.
