AP CM making false claims on Amma Vodi scheme : TDP alleges - United News of India

Vijayawada, June 27 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party National official spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhi Ram on Monday alleged that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was making 'false claims' on the Amma Vodi scheme in the state.
Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader strongly objected to Reddy delivering a 'long speech' after pressing the Amma Vodi button in Srikakulam to provide Rs. 6,595 crore benefit.
Instead of that, the Chief Minister should have given his clarification on denial of this benefit to nearly half of the total 82 lakh students.
Pattabhi Ram recalled how Jagan Mohan Reddy promised in his plenary speech in July 2017, that his party would give Rs 24,000 to a mother having two children and studying intermediate. Rs. 18,000 would be given to each mother having two children studying 6th to 10th class.
Jagan's wife Bharathi Reddy promised to give Rs. 30,000 to each mother having two studying children.
The senior TDP leader asked why the Chief Minister was criticising party National President N Chandrababu Naidu, Radha Krishna (ABN Andhra Jyothi media) and Ramoji Rao (Eenadu media) instead of sincerely implementing his pre-poll promises. Was it not a fact that Jagan promised Amma Vodi scheme to each student but restricted it to just each mother after coming to power?
He said that Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy in his budget speech said that Rs. 6,107 crore would be given to 44 lakh students under Amma Vodi scheme during the fiscal 2021-22....
