WANA (Oct 19) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Sunday, October 19, denounced what he described as an “absurd show” staged in the British Parliament by the Polish foreign minister, calling the event a politically motivated act based on false claims.
“The display of a drone in the British Parliament, falsely and maliciously attributed to Iran, is a regrettable scene orchestrated by the Israeli lobby and its supporters,” Araghchi said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
He added that certain actors opposed to friendly relations between Iran and Europe are fabricating narratives inconsistent with the centuries-old ties between the two sides, including the historic relations between Iran and Poland.
The foreign minister reaffirmed Tehran’s readiness for technical discussions and exchange of documents to clarify the facts, particularly in response to what he called “this absurd show.”
The remarks came after the Polish Foreign Minister participated in an anti-Iran presentation at the UK Parliament in cooperation with a U.S.-Israeli-affiliated group, during which allegations were made about Iran’s alleged involvement in supplying drones for the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
