TRUMANN, Ark. — An Arkansas man has now been arrested for his involvement in Medicaid fraud.

According to reports from the Arkansas Attorney General's Office, 21-year-old Jordan Vales of Trumann had been listed as an employee and caregiver at First Choice Home Care, although he had allegedly never provided any legitimate services.

He then used his fraudulent profile to submit claims to Medicaid for services that were never actually given between June 13, 2022, and December 26, 2023.

Those false claims then resulted in a total of $96,711.68 in fraudulent payments.

“Those who commit Medicaid fraud need to know that my office is vigilant in its pursuit of justice. If you are committing these kinds of crimes, you will be held accountable. I commend my Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) for their diligence in securing this arrest, especially Special Agent Laura Glover," said AG Tim Griffin.

Vales has since been arrested on one count of Medicaid fraud, which is a Class A felony.
