A False Claims Act whistleblower who helped the government secure an $18 million settlement with AthenaHealth Inc. is entitled to an increased recovery of attorneys’ fees.
Geordie Sanborn, who had already been awarded $391,000 in fees, showed that he should get an additional $41,900, said Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
This supplemental amount reflects additional attorneys’ fees incurred during the fee proceedings, the court said.
