Syracuse, N.Y. – A lawyer for the Syracuse Common Council is urging lawmakers to subpoena documents and testimony to determine whether any crime or unethical behavior was committed when City Hall awarded multi-million-dollar contracts that later triggered a whistleblower’s complaint.
Lawyer Ronnie White Jr. submitted a report Thursday urging councilors to investigate a whistleblower’s claims that certain information technology contracts awarded in 2022 and 2023 were improperly handled by city officials.
