The Australian Securities and Investments Commission on Wednesday filed its first case alleging a breach of its whistleblower provisions, bringing suit against a Queensland energy exporter accused of falsifying coal quality results.
ASIC filed civil proceedings in Federal Court alleging that TerraCom Ltd. and members of its disclosure committee had harmed a whistleblower by damaging his reputation, earnings capacity, and his psychological and emotional states.
