Fact: The video does not depict a real incident of a child being abandoned. It is a behind-the-scenes (BTS) footage from a short film titled Naya Saal. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
A reverse image search of the viral video led us to the original, extended versions (here & here) of the footage, posted on the Instagram page of Yashica Patidar in July 2026. These videos state that the clip is from the shooting of a short film titled Naya Saal. Moreover, visuals of the crew shooting the film, along with cameras and a clapboard, can be seen in the extended video.
Further research led us to the trailer (archive) for the short film, uploaded to the Dhimhi Arts YouTube channel. The trailer features the same infant seen in the viral video. The makers also clarified in the comments that behind-the-scenes (BTS) visuals from their short film are being used to spread misinformation.
To sum it up, behind-the-scenes visuals from a short film shoot are being falsely shared as a girl abandoned in Nashik, Maharashtra.
