It seems like an unprecedented crop of top-50 players with guards Darryn Peterson, Dorian Jones and Jerry Easter and forward Niko Bundalo in the 2025 class and national top-20 prospects Marcus Johnson and T.J. Crumble in 2026. Add in 2025 center Jayden Quaintance, who preps in North Carolina but has ties to Cleveland, and that’s seven top-50 players over a two-year period.
“This is as good as it has ever been,” one basketball recruiting guru noted. “I mean you had some highly rated guys in the past. B.J. Mullens and William Buford were both McDonald’s All-Americans in 2008 and Jared Sullinger was ranked up there in 2010.
