A former program manager for a company that did an environmental assessment for a US Army Reserve Command helicopter project may be able to prove whistleblower retaliation in his firing, the Ninth Circuit ruled Thursday in a novel case.
The trial court applied the wrong standard in finding that Aaron Killgore didn’t engage in protected disclosures under the California Whistleblower Protection Act in relation to his work on the Army Reserve’s Blackhawk assault helicopter project in Conroe, Texas, the appeals court said.
