Rapper Blueface, born Johnathan Michael Porter, was the target of an apparent swatting incident this week after a false emergency call prompted an armed response by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies to his Santa Clarita home, authorities said.
According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, deputies responded around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The caller falsely claimed Porter had fatally shot his girlfriend, was under the influence of drugs and had restrained the couple’s young daughter inside the residence.
Law enforcement officers treated the report as a credible threat, detaining the home’s occupants at gunpoint while conducting a protective search. The response unfolded as Porter was livestreaming on the Kick platform, with portions of the encounter broadcast online.
