Boeing Boss Still Hasn't Met with Whistleblowers to Talk Safety, Lawyer Says - Newsweek
Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun has failed to fulfil his commitment to engage with his company's growing list of whistleblowers, Newsweek understands.
Brian Knowles, an attorney who represents over a dozen current and former employees of Boeing, said that he has yet to hear from Calhoun or the Boeing company.
"Calhoun was asked whether he should speak to whistleblowers, and he acknowledged that he should," Knowles said.
"It's been at least four or five weeks, and I haven't heard from anybody willing to talk to my clients."
Knowles was referring to comments made by Calhoun during his June testimony before the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, at its hearing into "Boeing's Broken Safety Culture."
Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson asked Calhoun whether it would be "a good idea" for him to meet and speak with any of the whistleblowers that had voiced their concerns over the company's safety practices.
