After Air India's Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed in Ahmedabad, Boeing whistleblower's warning against all 787 Dreamliner jets last year has resurfaced. In a complaint filed with the US' Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in January 2024, he claimed that Boeing took production shortcuts that could pose long-term safety risks, especially as these planes age.

Israel is fully ready to launch an attack on Iran, US officials have been told, according to a CBS report quoting multiple sources. The report comes as US is withdrawing some of its personnel from Middle East fearing a retaliation from Iran. The US Defence Department has also authorised dependents of military personnel to leave the region.
