UNCSA Payroll and Human Resources offices worked over the weekend and continue to work diligently to ensure that employees will see the bonus money in their paychecks issued Dec. 21.
The bonuses are part of the state budget passed by the General Assembly and signed into law by Gov. Roy Cooper before Thanksgiving. All law enforcement and employees who are paid less than $75,000 will receive a $1,500 bonus. Employees paid more than $75,000 will receive a $1,000 bonus. Both employees paid monthly and biweekly will receive their paychecks on Dec. 21.
The 2.5% increases from the annual raise process will be processed in early 2022 upon receipt of additional guidance for eligible employees and are retroactive to July 1, 2021. Another 2.5% increase will be issued in July 2022 for eligible employees.
