A woman under the influence of drugs made several false calls to Brandon Police (BPS) on Sunday claiming someone was trying to blow up her house.

On March 16, starting around 1:40 p.m., Brandon Police (BPS) say 911 dispatchers received multiple calls from the same anonymous female.
She claimed that someone was trying to blow up her house, and that a woman was outside sprinkling explosive powder on her property.
BPS said a search of the address in their records found the home associated to a 46-year-old female, and police went to the home in the 200 block of 4th street.
BPS said the “intoxicated by drugs” female was found, and police confirmed claims she was making were unfounded.
She was arrested, medically cleared and held in a detention cell. Police said after the arrest she would be released once she got sober.
