BREAKING: Justices Say Airline Cargo Loaders Exempt From Arbitration - Law360

Chicago ramp agent supervisor from having to arbitrate her wage-and-hour claims against Southwest Airlines. In a unanimous ruling, the justices affirmed a Seventh Circuit panel's March 2021 decision finding that ramp agent supervisor Latrice Saxon's wage claims were exempt from the Federal Arbitration Act. The justices concluded that Saxon, who oversaw a team of ramp agents responsible for loading cargo on airplanes at Chicago Midway International Airport, fell within the FAA's Section 1, which exempts from arbitration "contracts of employment of seamen, railroad employees or. . .
