The participation of the group BTS in the tribute album for Michael Jackson was not true.
On the 5th, Big Hit Music stated through its official social media account that "there is information that is different from the facts regarding BTS’s participation in the tribute album for Michael Jackson" and provided its official stance.
Big Hit Music explained, "BTS has not visited the Grouse Lodge studio in Ireland nor held recording sessions at that location, and the report claiming their participation in the tribute album for Michael Jackson is also not true."
It added, "We are continuing to respond to prevent the spread of inaccurate information. We sincerely thank the fans who always cherish and support BTS. We will continue to do our best to support our artists' activities."
Previously, information that BTS would participate in Michael Jackson's tribute album spread mainly through social media and online communities. However, with Big Hit Music promptly correcting the information, the confusion is expected to subside.
