Burton mayor, police chief named in whistleblower lawsuit - MLive.com

BURTON, MI – The city and some of its highest officials have been named in a federal lawsuit claiming they violated the rights of two Burton police officers and a former police detective.

The lawsuit, filed on Tuesday, Sept. 5, in the United States District Court by former Burton police detective Kevin Jones and current patrol officers Kevin Kissel and Dana Piazza, names the city, Burton Police Chief Brian Ross, Mayor Duane Haskins, city human resources director Charles Abbey and city labor attorney Joshua Leadford.
