Byju Raveendran calls for “thorough investigation” of whistleblower’s allegations - The Economic Times
According to Raveendran, he and several employees of the bankrupt edtech firm received a document with conclusive evidence of criminal collusion between EY India, Glas Trust and the interim resolution professional Pankaj Srivastava.
Byju Raveendran, founder and CEO of bankrupt edtech firm Byju's, has called for a "thorough investigation" into alleged collusion and fraud by the firm's lender Glas Trust, consultancy firm EY and former resolution professional (RP) Pankaj Srivastava of a whistleblower’s allegations.
According to the whistleblower's allegations, EY worked with Glas Trust and was appointed by Srivastava to advise him on the insolvency proceedings.
This comes at a time when the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved the appointment of Shailendra Ajmera -another EY employee - as the new resolution professional (RP) on Monday. The committee of creditors (CoC) of Byju's parent firm, Think & Learn, had passed a resolution to appoint Ajmera as the new RP.
This was however opposed by Raveendran's lawyers.
