Byun Kisoo posted on his social media account on June 28, “I have never had gastric cancer... It’s truly disturbing that there are people who use my name and photos to write articles pretending I overcame gastric cancer,” along with a photo.
The posted photo included a blog article. The title of the post was ‘Had to Stand on Stage Even After Having Part of My Stomach Removed: Byun Kisoo’s Happiness in a Spoonful of Rice After Gastric Cancer Surgery,’ detailing that Byun Kisoo felt happiness in a spoonful of rice after undergoing surgery to remove part of his stomach due to gastric cancer.
However, Byun Kisoo has never had gastric cancer. Sharing the post with an acquaintance, Byun Kisoo stated, “Can I take legal action against this? I have never had gastric cancer. Receiving this contact was extremely unpleasant and disturbing. My parents would be deeply hurt if they saw this. No matter how I think about it, this seems completely false. I’m heartbroken,” revealing his devastated feelings.
