California Agency Eyes Rules on Employee Privacy, Other Topics - Bloomberg Law

Board members of the California Privacy Protection Agency on Monday directed agency staff to begin preparing draft regulations on numerous, anticipated topics, which could potentially include employee privacy rights.

The action comes after the first set of regulations for the 2020 California Privacy Rights Act—which updated the state’s comprehensive privacy law to strengthen consumer protections—went into effect in late March.
