Charlie Kirk’s former security chief claims the podcaster knowingly spread false assassination allegations to millions across her podcast and social media platforms
Candace Owens is facing a bombshell defamation lawsuit from the former head of security for the late Charlie Kirk. The hefty lawsuit alleges the controversial podcaster falsely accused him of helping orchestrate Kirk’s assassination and used her massive platform to spread fabricated conspiracy theories.
Brian Harpole, founder of Integrity Security Solutions, filed the lawsuit in federal court in Tennessee against Owens, her companies Candace Owens LLC and GeorgeTom, Inc., and Mitchell Snow. Snow is a man Harpole alleges supplied Owens with the many false narratives at the center of the case.
The lawsuit stems from months of Owens’s podcasts and social media posts following Kirk’s tragic September 10, 2025, assassination at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Tyler Robinson has been charged with capital murder in that case, and prosecutors have publicly alleged Robinson acted as the lone gunman. Harpole’s complaint notes that law enforcement has never alleged Harpole or his security company participated in, had advance knowledge of, or covered up the assassination.
Harpole claims Owens built an audience around elaborate conspiracy theories before eventually accusing him of participating in a secret government plot to kill Kirk.
