Carlson again echoes Putin with false claim US wants 'regime change in Moscow' - Business Insider

Tucker Carlson baselessly claimed this week that the US government's involvement in Ukraine is aimed at deposing Russian leader Vladimir Putin and is meant as "payback for the 2016 election."

The Fox News personality has done this before without any evidence only to pick up an international audience on Russian state media. He's also received widespread rebuke from US military and disinformation experts, including one who on Thursday called the TV host a "cancer."

The latest controversial Carlson comments came during his primetime show on Monday night. There, he argued that "the war in Ukraine is designed to cause regime change in Moscow."

"We don't arm Ukraine so we can help the Ukrainians. They are merely unfortunate pawns in all of this," the Fox News host said. "We arm Ukraine so that we can punish Russia. Why? For stealing Hillary Clinton's coronation."
