Case: Individual Employment Rights/Political Affiliation (E.D. Pa.) - Bloomberg Law

The Bucks County Recorder of Deeds and Bucks County are denied summary judgment on the First Amendment claim of an employee alleging she lost her job due to her political affiliation and campaign support for the prior recorder of deeds, a Pennsylvania federal district court ruled, because a reasonable juror could conclude the newly-elected Republican recorder of deeds was aware of her registration as a Democrat and her support for his political opponent, and this motivated him to replace her.
