A Florida appellate court reversed a final judgment awarding damages under a state whistleblower law to a terminated IT systems administrator who reported a supervisor allegedly working a second job while clocked-in for the city of Fort Lauderdale, holding that screenshots of the supervisor’s computer and spreadsheets of suspicious calls that he submitted without any signed, written explanation didn’t show any legal or policy violations and don’t constitute a required “written and signed complaint.”
