A California federal district court denied a logistics processor’s motion to remand his wage and hour claims under the California Labor Code and granted Nordstrom, Inc.'s motion to compel arbitration, finding that Nordstrom met the amount in controversy requirement for jurisdiction under the Class Action Fairness Act by showing that waiting time penalties alone could exceed $8 million, and that the 2025 dispute resolution agreement was valid and enforceable as the logistics processor had accepted it by continuing his employment.
