A federal district court in New York denied Rockaway Farmers Market, Inc. and The Chef’s Table, Inc.’s motion to dismiss a former chef’s claims of retaliation under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the New York Labor Law. He alleged that the restaurants retaliated against him for filing his claims by attempting to coerce him into signing false documentation regarding his claims outside the presence of counsel, threatening to report his immigration status, and making false and disparaging statements about him.
