Case: Wage & Hour/Overtime (D. Ariz.) - Bloomberg Law

An Arizona federal district court ruled that Matrix Absence Management Incorporated isn’t entitled to summary judgment on claims examiners’ failure to pay overtime claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, finding that the question of whether the claims examiners fall under the administrative exemption must proceed to trial because, although they performed human resources work, there’s a genuine issue of fact as to whether they exercised discretion and independent judgment fulfilling their duties.
