Celebrating the Women of Government Accountability Project
March 8 is International Women's Day, a day to celebrate and honor achievements of women around the world. The American Bar Association reports 41% of lawyers in the United States and 56.2% of law students are women with those rates expected to continue to grow. At Government Accountability Project, we are proud of the accomplishments of the incredible women on staff.
Women make up 60% of our director-level leadership and two-thirds of full-time staff at Government Accountability Project. We are honored to have such incredible women working and guiding the organization's work with Congress, the United Nations, the courts, and more.
Our General Counsel, Karen Gray, joined Government Accountability Project in 2003 as a staff attorney representing whistleblowers before rising to her current position in 2007. Currently, she serves as legal counsel, as well as continuing to represent clients on the litigation and international programs. In honor of International Women's Day, she commented,
