Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Rips Beverly Hills Police for ‘False’ Statement - heavy.com

The Boston Celtics came into the All-Star break second in the Eastern Conference standings. Jaylen Brown has stepped up in the absence of Jayson Tatum to lead the Celtics to the second-best offense in the NBA. Brown was an All-Star for his efforts.

For the most part, Brown seemed to enjoy his time in Los Angeles for the All-Star Game. While he didn’t shoot the ball well during the round-robin format of the game, he still showed that he is a great player. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for Brown, however.

Brown tried to have an event in Beverly Hills with his business partner. Instead, it was shut down by the Beverly Hills Police Department. Brown was not happy, and decided to call out the Police Department after they issued a statement about the event.

The Beverly Hills Police Department issued the following statement about Brown’s event that was eventually shut down.

“On Saturday, February 14, the Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) responded to an event taking place at a private residence in the Trousdale neighborhood of the City. An event permit had been applied for and denied by the City due to previous violations associated with events at the address. Despite the fact that the permit was denied, organizers still chose to proceed with inviting hundreds of guests knowing that it was not allowed to occur. BHPD responded and shut down the unpermitted event.”
