ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud-based CentraCare is pushing back on misinformation linking one of its physicians to the deadly shootings of two Minnesota lawmakers.
The health system says an AI assistant on the X app, formerly known as Twitter, falsely claimed Dr. Jennifer Boelter was connected to the crime. CentraCare says that’s not true—and warns that spreading false information can harm reputations and cause unnecessary distress.
Dr. Boelter shares a first name with the suspect’s wife, who was questioned by police but has not been charged.
CentraCare is urging both the public and media to verify facts before sharing.
